Linger, Out Back

Doing a little bit of walking around near Downtown Denver on a great Summer evening, camera in hand and inspiration in my heart, taking the opportunity to express some artistry and this image captures exactly that. The title is a a bit of a play on words here as this iconic place is called Linger (formerly Olinger) and I just liked the capture here from an angle most people don’t see or seek out (the back side of the building). I liked the brick, the texture of the backside of the sign … and with a little patience, waited for some of the birds in the area to line up to complete the view. Yes, this is a photo and not an illustration, however I have leaned into the colorization some here which gives this an almost Ghibli feel. A new favorite!
